Welcome to Singleplayermode.com. If you came here looking for reviews, info, and critiques on games based on the single player experience, you came to the right place.
More and more often in these days the best part of a game just isn't accessible. Crysis itself requires an expensive video card. A remarkable number of old Nintendo games require odd add-ons to be played to a completionists extent. Multiple controllers and online play have become the law of the land, leaving a fair portion of single player type people in the dust. What to do?
The goal here is to try to do what many reviewers do not. I'm going to assume you have the bare minimum needed to boot up and control the game, well, along with a television of course. In the most basic sense, if you can boot it up and hit start and go, that is what will be reviewed.
Why? Because some people buy games unaware of the lack of content available to them if they don't have online, or if they don't have the add ons or controllers available to them. People can be easily confused about which portions of a game are accessible and which aren't, often having to actually purchase the game to find out. A good example would be some of the first person shooter type games that have a bare bones single player mode, and do not allow for multiplayer even with multiple controllers, unless online is available.
My goal is to help people avoid those mishaps and any similar add-on related incidents.
Also, reviews for old games and personal favorites will appear. Doing my best to be unbiased, reviews will be made based on the content you can get at, once again, the bare minimum needed for admission. It will also be a goal to not mark off on games for controls that are too good, or other odd things various reviewer sites have used as reasoning before. Also, in the same respect, it will be a goal not to mark a game off for being too hard, unless the difficulty is obviously artificially boosted.
With that as my mission statement, check out what we have to offer, and email us at gojira345@singleplayermode.com to make suggestions, offers, or complaints.
